We believe that strong networks are the key to successful businesses. Whether you’re just starting out or scaling your business, building relationships with other entrepreneurs, mentors, and industry professionals is essential.

The Business Café

CIE’s Business Café is an exclusive, private online community designed specifically for current and past clients of CIE. It’s a space for Café members to meet fellow entrepreneurs, access valuable mentorship, and build their professional networks in a trusted environment. It’s also where they can register for all CIE’s upcoming training courses and events and request one-on-one counseling.

How the Business Café Works:

  • Connect with Local Entrepreneurs: Café members join a community of like-minded entrepreneurs from their region and industry to share experiences, challenges, and successes in a safe, supportive space.
  • Learn from Experienced Mentors: Café members gain insights from volunteer mentors who are dedicated to helping you grow your business.
  • Build Professional Networks: Café members leverage the power of the CIE community to expand their networks and tap into valuable business opportunities.
  • Meet in Person: Café members find out about in-person meetups and events where you can engage face-to-face with entrepreneurs, mentors, and industry experts in your community.

What Makes the Business Café Special?

Private and Exclusive: The Business Café is accessible only to current and past CIE clients. This ensures that Café members are part of a trusted, close-knit community of entrepreneurs who understand their unique challenges.

Region-Based Subgroups: To help Café members engage more directly with entrepreneurs near them, they can create specialized groups to connect with others in their area or their industry, making it easier to share local and industry-specific resources and insights.

How to Join the Business Café

First, apply to our CommunityEnterprise program. Once an application is approved, the applicant will become a client and will automatically be invited to the Business Café. Once there, Café members can complete their profile, introduce themselves to the community, ask questions, share resources, make valuable connections, and let the networking begin!

The Center for Inclusive Entrepreneurship is a member of the Washington SBDC Network. The Washington SBDC is an accredited member of America’s SBDC. Funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration, institutions of higher education, economic development organizations and other public and private funding partners.

Washington SBDC services are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis. Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. Language assistance services are available for limited English proficient individuals.
