What do Kermit the Frog, Frank Sinatra, and Dr. Seuss have in common with CIE client Keeth Apgar of The Harmonica Pocket? They all share a connection to the legacy of Joe Reposo and his excellence in music created for young audiences. This year, we are thrilled to share that The Harmonica Pocket’s Keeth Apgar has joined that remarkable list of recipients.
Keeth, a longtime children’s musician based in Jefferson County, was recently awarded the ASCAP Foundation Joe Raposo Children’s Music Award, a national honor that highlights outstanding achievement in children’s songwriting. This recognition reflects years of creativity, dedication, and a deep commitment to making music that inspires curiosity, joy, and connection for children and families. At CIE, we have been working with The Harmonica Pocket to strengthen the business foundation behind the artistry. Using our Resiliency Checklist, we are helping build a stronger “back office,” streamline operations, and support long-term sustainability. At the same time, we are collaborating on strategies to increase revenue, including the development of an online songwriting course that expands the reach of Keeth’s creative teaching.
The Harmonica Pocket’s success is a powerful example of what can happen when artistic talent and entrepreneurial support come together. We are proud to be part of this journey and excited to see what new music, workshops, and creative offerings are ahead.
Congratulations to The Harmonica Pocket on this well-deserved national recognition.
