This month brings new opportunities to learn, lead, and lift others through supporting local entrepreneurship. Our Start Simple business training and COMADRES in Walla Walla are open for registration to aspiring entrepreneurs ready to take their first step.

💡Start Simple: Turn Your Idea into Action
Got a business idea? Let’s make it happen. The Start Simple Business Training Program is designed to help you quickly test the feasibility of your idea with practical tools, guided support, and a community of fellow entrepreneurs. In just four two-hour sessions, you’ll learn business fundamentals, get free one-on-one help from a Business Advisor, and walk away with a completed Start Simple Plan.
Courses are offered in English (4–6 PM) and Spanish (6–8 PM), with multiple dates available starting in September through December. Space is limited, so sign up early!

🌟 COMADRES in Walla Walla: Register Now!

Comadres in Walla Walla is a free, empowering program designed for Latinas with a business idea ready to take shape. Over two weekends, you’ll learn essential business skills, connect with fellow Latina entrepreneurs, and gain valuable resources- all in Spanish. Plus, you’ll receive coaching, a stipend, and a chance to launch your business with extra support. Spots are limited to 20 participants, so register now and take the first step toward making your dream a reality!
📢 Nonprofits Get It Done- Join the Movement!

The National Council of Nonprofits has launched a campaign to defend the integrity of nonprofits and reaffirm the essential role we play in our communities. Join over 1,400 organizations standing up to protect nonprofits from partisan politics and help amplify the impact by sharing the message on social media using #NonprofitsGetItDone. Let’s show the country what nonprofits do best- serve, support, and strengthen communities.
🤝 Join the Coffee Shop: Share Your Experience, Shape a Future
Volunteer mentors engage through our online Coffee Shop– a private Facebook group where local entrepreneurs and mentors connect informally, share resources, ask questions, and build community. It’s a space for encouragement, real talk, and actionable advice, all rooted in support and inclusion.
Whether you’re offering guidance on a post, answering a question, or simply cheering someone on, your presence can make a difference. If you’re passionate about inclusive entrepreneurship and want to give back in a meaningful way, we’d love to welcome you into our mentor community.
