A Hidden Haven

Jodi and Chris Jones of A Hidden Haven have spent the last 20 years building a successful and beautiful lodging business nestled in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains just west of Port Angeles. Five cottages are scattered around an idyllic 20 acres, complete with gorgeous gardens, ponds and waterfalls.

Osprey, bald eagles, blue herons, kingfishers, and otters frequently fish the pond, and guests can venture out on a private nature trail to enjoy the peaceful scenery or feed the private herd of fallow deer, or cross the arched bridge for an afternoon cup of tea in the island gazebo.

Springtime is when business starts to pick up and bookings start to pour in for the summer months. But with Washington’s COVID-19 Stay at Home order, Jodi and Chris’s business - like so many others around the peninsula - was stopped in its tracks with no bookings and no revenue.

The Jones’ reached out to us for help with accessing, understanding and applying for the array of economic relief options. With our help, the owners of A Hidden Haven have applied for and have begun to receive some of the disaster relief funding so essential to their survival - and that of the many other small and vital tourist businesses who have reached out to us for help surviving the economic downturn caused by the virus.

None of our small tourist businesses on the peninsula are truly “out of the woods” yet, but we are delighted to have been able to play a small part in helping Jodi and Chris - and many other remote lodging businesses - survive COVID-19 crisis. And we can’t wait until this is over and we visit this gorgeous haven in person!
