Marisa serves as CIE’s Associate Director, which oversees internal operations, including client engagement, community partnerships, human resources, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and administrative processes. Additionally, this role is the primary staff liaison for the Board of Directors. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Associate Director collaborates across the organization to improve structure, foster organizational growth, and support the mission.
She has owned her own sign company, clothing and accessories business and also worked in her family’s Mexican Restaurant and Panaderia growing up.
Originally from a small town, she lived in rural Whatcom county (Concrete, WA) and previously served in roles as a business advisor and Program Manager in the North Cascades region for CIE.
Marisa holds a Masters of Science degree in Business Management and Bachelors of Science degree in Agribusiness. In her spare time, Marisa enjoys crafting.
