Jose C. Garza is a seasoned community leader with extensive experience in manufacturing, logistics, and public service. After serving in the U.S. Army with deployments across Europe and Asia, he joined the Washington State National Guard, playing a pivotal role in COVID-19 response efforts. As Executive Director of the Othello Food Bank, Jose expanded services and secured essential funding to support local communities. He serves on the Othello Planning Commission and represents District 3 on the Washington Food Coalition Board.
Joining the Board of the Center for Inclusive Entrepreneurship (CIE) aligns with Jose’s commitment to empowering marginalized rural communities. CIE’s mission to assist individuals with limited resources in starting businesses, earning a living, and building generational wealth resonates with his personal and professional values. Jose is eager to contribute his expertise in community leadership and economic development to support CIE’s initiatives, including accessible business training, one-on-one advising, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Collaborating with like-minded professionals will enable him to broaden his impact, fostering resilient and equitable local economies across Washington State.
