Coffee Shop Guidelines

1. Respect and Professionalism

  • Personal attacks, harassment, and bullying are prohibited.
  • Treat all members with respect and professionalism. Discriminatory, offensive, or inflammatory language will not be tolerated.

2. Admin Authority

  • Admins/ CIE Staff have the final say on content and member conduct. Respect their decisions and any actions they take.
  • If you have concerns or suggestions, contact CIE Staff directly.

3. Relevant Content Only

  • Post content relevant to entrepreneurship, including business strategies, tips, success stories, and industry news.
  • Avoid posting spam or irrelevant content. This includes unsolicited promotions, affiliate links, and excessive self-promotion.

4. Confidentiality

  • Respect the privacy of group members. Do not share content or discussions from the group outside without permission.
  • Be mindful of sensitive topics and ensure discussions are handled with discretion.

5. No Soliciting

  • Do not solicit or request financial support from group members, including crowdfunding, donations, or investment.
  • Any shared events or activities must be approved by the group admins.

6. Event and Resource Sharing

  • Share events, webinars, or resources only if they are directly relevant and beneficial to the group’s focus.
  • Provide clear information about the event and ensure it is accessible to all members.

Facebook Group Rules

Be Kind and Respectful
Abusive language, personal attacks, and discriminatory comments will result in immediate removal from the group.

No Spam or Unsolicited Promotions
Spamming or unsolicited promotions are not allowed.

Respect Privacy
Do not share members’ personal information or group content outside of the group.

Follow Facebook’s Community Standards
Adhere to Facebook’s overall community standards and policies.

Use the Group Features Appropriately
Use polls, events, and other features in line with the group’s purpose and respect members’ preferences.

Follow Admin Instructions
Abide by the rules set by group admins and CIE Staff. They are here to ensure the group runs smoothly.

Warnings: Members who violate the rules may receive a warning. Continued violations may result in removal.
Banning: Severe or repeated breaches of the guidelines may lead to permanent removal from the group.

The Center for Inclusive Entrepreneurship is a member of the Washington SBDC Network. The Washington SBDC is an accredited member of America’s SBDC. Funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration, institutions of higher education, economic development organizations and other public and private funding partners.

Washington SBDC services are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis. Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. Language assistance services are available for limited English proficient individuals.
